Sewing Lessons FAQ

Do I have to know how to use a sewing machine?

NOPE! Lesson 1 starts at the *very* beginning. We'll learn the parts of your machine, how to put the thread on, and first - how to attach two pieces of fabric together! By the end of this very quick course, you'll feel confident starting any project at the machine. You'll also complete a project in this Lesson series!

Do I have to take the lessons in order?

Absolutely not! If you're a beginner, you definitely want to take Lesson 1 - Meet Your Machine and Your First Project. After that, the skills for sewing build upon one another, but I am certain you can catch up, should you jump ahead to a project you're excited about!

Do you offer bundle pricing if I enroll in all 5 Lessons?

Yes! Simply enroll in the "Sew You Begin Sew & Save" Bundle Course, where you'll save 10% by enrolling in all Lessons. *NOTE: As of September 2024, courses are still in development. They will be released according to the dates listed.

How much are sewing lessons?

Lessons are priced per project. Projects with simpler tutorial videos, and fewer 1:1 Virtual Coaching Sessions will cost less than more detailed tutorials and more coaching sessions. You can find the price for each lesson on the Enroll Button below the description. Prices vary from $50-$85 per Lesson/series of videos and coaching sessions.

How much does sewing cost as a hobby?

I won't lie to you.... it isn't a cheap hobby! But, honestly, what is?

The beauty of investing in a craft like sewing is that you can take pride in the work you create - replacing the need to buy items for your home decor, gifts, family, and more. It provides an incredible outlet for your creative energy, and offers you a space to dream and design as you wish.

Like any activity, the more you invest, the easier, more efficient your projects would be. That being said, you don't have to invest in an industrial sewing machine if you're hoping to enjoy sewing for fun. Expect to pay between $80-$250 on a sewing machine, and your supplies to get started.

My clickable Tools of the Trade guide will also give you great value for the start up costs of supplies that you'll be able to use for years to come.
